Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Sharpen!
To keep customers sharp knives safe, i make paper sleeves from old file folders. To make a stack of 10 of these to fit a 9.5” x 1.75” knife here’s what happens: the computer prints the image 2 at a time then a Silhouette craft cutter perfectly cuts out the design with fold lines and all! Then i use an antique Domestic 1950’s sewing machine that weighs like 55 lbs. (not 1 single plastic part in this workhorse) to stitch closed the sleeve on the open side. Faster, cleaner and more durable than glue. Voila!
